Afterschool

At Creative Arts we believe that our students' education does not end at 3:15. Our afterschool program is designed to serve the needs of all our families and is offered entirely on site and up to 6:00. Afterschool spaces are available for all CACS students. The program is fee based, but accommodations can be made due to need.

K-Club serves our Kindergartners after their earlier dismissal time. K-Club includes a snack and quiet play activities until 3:15, when some students are picked up and others transition to the second phase of afterschool activities and clubs.

After 3:15, our students are divided into groupings in different classrooms. Due to the mixing of grades, afterschool is a unique enviroment, very often family-like in nature. Afterschool at Creative Arts is fun and enriching. Our nurturing and creative staff offer a variety of project-based activities and clubs that include science, art, crafts, filmmaking, journaling, drama, singing and storytelling, sports, card-playing, board games, and large group projects. Our students' interests drive our program, and they are a large part of the decision-making regarding what we do. Our job is to insure they have fun while learning.

Our afterschool staff are an essential part of our community and often get to know students in completely different ways than our classroom teachers and support staff do. Afterschool staff attend all professional development, health and safety trainings, and school community events to ensure program consistency.
