Family Involvement

Family Involvement

By enrolling in CACS, families sign an agreement to commit to 40 volunteer hours per year. Family participation is vital to the programs of Creative Arts Charter School. A principle philosophy of the school is that family involvement is good for our kids and our community. Your participation is also a crucial part of our daily operations. Many important tasks are completed due to each familyŐs commitment to volunteerism. These volunteer efforts are critical to the nature and quality of the programs we provide.

The following outlines the expectations for all families:

  • every family contributes a minimum of 40 volunteer hours per year;
  • every family attends Community Meetings, celebrations and social events;
  • every family contributes toward classroom snacks;
  • every family contributes to organizing its classroom assigned fundraisers; and
  • every family supports all fundraisers.

The rich programs provided by CACS would not exist were it not for a very high level of family involvement and support. If you do not know where you would like to help out, consult our Volunteer Catalog, ask your childŐs teacher, or another staff person, get in touch with a member of the Participation Committee, a Board member, or other parents/guardians in the community. Your contributions are vital, and much appreciated!
