1601 Turk Street in San Francisco's Western Addition

Our Campus

Located at the corner of Turk and Pierce Streets, Creative Arts occupies the former SFUSD Golden Gate Academy site within San Francisco's vibrant, diverse, and historic Western Addition neighborhood. The school's main building, 1601 Turk, is a classic urban school structure in the International Style, surrounded by blacktops, play structures, murals, mosaics, and sculpture. We eat lunch, hold weekly community meetings, and stage performances in our “cafetorium,” located across the blacktop on the ground floor of the older “Golden Gate Annex” building.

We've filled our site with warm, exciting, one-of-a-kind classrooms, and we make the most of our central location and easy access to the Fillmore and Japantown, Golden Gate Park, City Hall Plaza, the Symphony, SFMOMA, the Asian Art Museum, Main Library, and Alamo Square – in short, all that San Francisco has to offer our students.

Please take a tour to get a full sense of the place that Creative Arts calls home.
