Our Mission

Arts-Integrated Education

It is our intention to provide innovative educational experiences in collaboration with our students, utilizing the Arts as a vehicle for investigation, problem solving and multi-modal learning. We believe that while working in the Arts, students are uniquely called upon to envision, set goals, determine methods to reach those goals, re-vision and re-work original ideas, work collaboratively, and develop self discipline. We believe that education of the whole child should include work in dance, clay, paint, sculpture and song; every day at school should involve opportunities to play, invent and discover. We recognize that the Arts are part of a universal, cross-cultural language, and therefore represent innate aspects of our common humanity. For all of these rich potentials we have placed the Arts at the center of our curriculum and call on them to provide fundamental purpose, definition and identity to our school.
